Our CEO, Emeya Friday, has successfully completed the pioneer edition of the REDAN Certificate Course, an intensive Executive training program delivered in collaboration with the University of Lagos Centre for Housing and Sustainable Development. This five-week intensive training equips real estate professionals with the knowlegde, skills, and values needed to practise real estate the right way in Nigeria.
An Immersive and Rigorous Learning Experience
The REDAN program combines comprehensive academic study with practical field experiences, designed to equip real estate professionals with the tools and knowledge to excel in Nigeria’s dynamic property sector.
The curriculum covered vital topics including Nigeria’s building regulations, real estate laws, project financing, ethical marketing practices, and due diligence in land documentation.
Beyond the classroom, participants gained hands-on exposure through visits to key institutions:
- Eko Atlantic City — a visionary 9 km² coastal city reclaimed from the Atlantic Ocean, secured by the 8.5 km “Great Wall of Lagos,” planned to host 250,000 residents and 150,000 daily commuters. This site provided an inspiring glimpse into the future of urban development in Nigeria.
- Lagos State Lands Bureau Digitization and e-GIS Centre — the cutting-edge hub for digitizing land records, enabling secure title verification, electronic applications, and streamlined land transactions, vital for transparency and trust in real estate.
- Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) — the authority responsible for urban planning permits, where participants deepened their understanding of zoning laws, compliance standards, and sustainable development practices.
